A few big changes that have occurred over the summer.
Penn State Scranton has a new chancellor – Elizabeth J. Wright, Ph.D. In July, Wright was named Regional Chancellor of the Hazleton, Scranton and Wilkes-Barre campuses following the retirement of Chancellor Marwan Wafa in June. Wright had previously been serving as chancellor and director of academic affairs at Penn State Hazleton.
Students will be able to study and do their research in our newly renovated Library, which now features new front and back facades and entrances as well as enhancements to the Library space, resulting in expanded study areas, casual meeting areas and upgraded technology and facilities.
The campus' Nursing Suite, located in the Library's lower level has also been renovated and expanded, with larger Patient Simulator labs, more teaching spaces and labs and new entrance.
The Dawson, Business Building and lower level parking lot behind the library has been newly paved, as well as the University Drive and Ridge View Drive entrances.
