Emergency Phones

There are two emergency blue phones on campus for emergency use only and are directly linked with the University Police. They are located behind the Library on the patio; and parking Lot #4 at beginning of walkway.

If for any reason you need to contact University Police and Public Safety from these locations, all you need to do is to press the red button on these phones and talk into the speaker.

Police Patrol and Police Escort Services

  • Police Patrol: During the day, evening and night-time hours, Police and Public Safety personnel patrol the entire campus including all buildings, parking lots and grounds.
  • Escort Service:  Available upon request. Call 570-963-2555 or 570-687-5212 to find out availability and request this service. 
  • University Police Event Request Form

Parking: Free!

  • Police and Public Safety issues parking hangtags to Faculty/Staff and Students who bring their vehicles on campus.
  • There is no charge to park on campus. 
  • Parking citations are issued to all violators in all parking lots, who are in violation of parking regulations and policies. Parking violation revenue is turned over to the Student Government Association (SGA) which supports student related activities.

Lost and Found

  • University Police and Public Safety is also responsible for Lost and Found. Any item found should be brought to the
  • Police and Public Safety office. Items can be claimed through identification. Any item that is not claimed will be disposed in accordance with University policies.
