A 25-year veteran of the utility industry, Sorgi oversees PPL’s seven utilities in the United States and the United Kingdom. He previously served as the executive vice president and chief financial officer, the vice president and controller, and the controller for its energy supply and marketing segment. Sorgi started his career at PPL in 2006 as financial director of the former PPL Generation subsidiary.
Sorgi has given back to the campus in recent years, including serving as the commencement keynote speaker in 2017. In addition, he’s been a mentor in the Linde Family Business Mentoring Program, and he and his wife, Michelle, established the Anthony and Linda Sorgi Trustee Matching Scholarship. Consideration for the scholarship is given to campus students in financial need, with first preference given to those with majors in one of the STEM fields.
Sorgi, who also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Villanova University, previously worked for Public Service Enterprise Group and Deloitte & Touche LLP.
