How do I know if I’m a transfer student?

Transfer status is based on credits earned after high school graduation. To be considered a transfer student, you should have earned a high school diploma, or the equivalent, and have attempted 18 or more credits at another regionally accredited college or university.

If you’ve earned dual college credits during high school, you are not considered a transfer student, you are considered a first-year student, though the credit earned is still eligible for review.
