Penn State Scranton recently held its most recent round of Diversity Circles with participants that included campus students and staff members, as well as local community members. The Diversity Circles are overseen by trained facilitators and are meant to foster a more inclusive perspective among participants.
Penn State Worthington Scranton celebrated Martin Luther King Jr.'s memory by hosting a special diversity event on campus, featuring diversity-themed presentations and special break-out sessions aimed at getting students, staff, faculty and community members engaged in helping to increase diversity efforts and foster greater understanding of different cultures.
Penn State Worthington Scranton Chancellor Marwan Wafa and his daughter, Ala’a Wafa, have been named the recipients of the 2016 William R. Laws Human Rights Award. The Laws Award is Columbus’ highest human rights award.
