Messages from Academic Affairs
Welcome to Penn State Scranton and thank you for your willingness to work with our faculty and staff to provide our students with an outstanding educational experience. Our part-time faculty are a valued and critically important part of our academic mission. We hope that you will participate in as many campus activities as your schedule and your other responsibilities permit. To that end, we will keep you informed about upcoming events, meetings, or social affairs offering opportunities for you to be fully included in campus life.
The purpose of this handbook is to acquaint you with procedural and organizational information about how things are done at Penn State. We have tried to compile materials to assist you in your teaching and to facilitate your access to campus services and resources. All of us in the Academics Affairs Office and the various departments of our campus are available to answer questions or clarify policies at any time.
We look forward to working with you.
H. Durell Johnson, Ph.D.
Chief Academic Officer
