Commonwealth Connections: Instructor Day
January 4th, 9:00-1:00
Teaching the Whole Student
Join us for a half-day, virtual event focusing on strategies for teaching the whole student. This event will feature an instructor panel and a student panel, followed by an open discussion. Topics of discussion for both panels will cover similar themes so you can hear both the faculty and student perspective. The day ends with a chance to connect with colleagues from across the Commonwealth in an open discussion to synthesize, reflect, and wrap up the day.
The panel discussions will include the following topics:
- Getting to know students
- Fostering student well-being and connection
- Helping under prepared and non-traditional students
- Communicating the relevance and importance of course material
